The PEDro project has been supported by several organisations and many individuals. The Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy expresses its gratitude to these organisations and individuals but retains editorial independence from them.

Professor Rob de Bie of the Rehabilitation and Related Therapies Field of the Cochrane Collaboration generously provided an existing database of 1600 trials, and arranged for the copying of 1000 trials.
The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) provided financial assistance which has been vital to the development and maintenance of PEDro. The APA currently makes an annual donation to PEDro, at a rate of $1 (AUD) per member. Annual donations are also being made by the Koninklijk Nederlands Genootschap voor Fysiotherapie (Royal Dutch Society for Physical Therapy), Suomen Fysioterapeutit - Finlands Fysioterapeuter (Finnish Association of Physiotherapists), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Deutscher Verband für Physiotherapie, and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association.

The Motor Accidents Authority of New South Wales has been the project's major sponsor and has provided funding to ensure that the database will continue to be maintained until 2008. Additional financial support has been supplied by the New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia and Tasmania, Australian Physiotherapists Registration Boards, and from WorkCover New South Wales.

The University of Sydneyhas supported the activities of the Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy, including supplying office space and technical support. Staff from the Discipline of Physiotherapy provide invaluable advice and practical support.
The NSW Department of Health has also supported the activities of the CEBP.

Andrew Duncan (Splash IT Consulting) designed the interactive web pages. Ongoing maintenance and development for the interactive web pages has since been supplied by Tim Booth (Niche IT) and Rob Woof (Advanced Database Systems), through the Information & Communication Technology department at the University of Sydney.

The PEDro web site was re-vamped in February 2004. We hope you like the new look; we do! Andrea Buldorini (AB Studio) did the design work and continues to maintain the site.

Several staff are employed to develop and maintain PEDro.
